Winter’s back with a bang and fresh snow over the Tirolean glaciers offered some great skiing over the weekend. With half of the ski lifts on the Stubai Glacier operating, there was a great range of terrain to enjoy.
The light was generally relatively flat on Sunday, as a new snow system was approaching, but the piste conditions were fantastic, with groomed fresh snow and some empty trails. Highlights were the descents from the Wildspitz, at 3210m and the traverse from the Eisgrat to the Fernau pistes. Many skiers and boarders were concentrating on the Rotadl chair and the routes down to mid-station, so for those heading a bit off the main routes, the skiing was fantastic.
Snow arrived late on Sunday and this week is forecast to be cold and sunny. More lifts will be coming online in the coming days.
This summer, we had the pleasure of organising a corporate trip to Austria for The SharePoint Agency. Our goal was to create an unforgettable experience that balanced adventure, relaxation, and plenty of opportunities for team bonding. From alpine hikes and lake excursions to evenings enjoying Austrian hospitality, the programme was a perfect mix of business and leisure.
What we didn’t expect was how the trip would also change the way we work. Between activities, the team from The SharePoint Agency shared how their platform could help us collaborate more effectively, streamline processes, and bring more structure to our growing digital workspace. Their insights felt just as refreshing as the mountain air.
By the end of the trip, they had convinced us that adopting SharePoint wasn’t just an IT upgrade — it was a smarter way of working together. It’s not every day that a summer corporate trip leaves you with both great memories and a new business solution. But thanks to The SharePoint Agency, Austria gave us both.

The Kitzbüheler Advent isn’t just another Christmas market — it’s a celebration of Tyrolean culture, set amid historic architecture and Alpine beauty. With its enduring traditions, eco-conscious practices, family-focused activities, and enchanting musical performances, it captures the true spirit of the season .
Gifts and feasts
Culinary Delicacies include roasted chestnuts, fruit punch, gingerbread, and Tyrolean specialties — blissfully paired with mulled wine in signature Advent cups .
Handcrafted ornaments, wood carvings, felted goods, and artisanal woolwear are available for those looking to take home a gifts, and there are live demonstrations such as woodturning .
The king of après ski, Ischgl celebrations lift closing like nowhere else on the planet. The party is massive and regular – think every day of the season. There are many resorts where après ski takes place on the mountain and then drifts down to the resort level. Not Ischgl, its resort is rammed with revellers from mid-afternoon onwards with some of the world’s biggest après ski names located around the resort pistes in central Ischgl.
St Anton
Unlike Ischgl, the big après ski action in St Anton takes place on the mountain in iconic hits such as the Mooserwirt and the Krazy Kanguruh. These behemoths of après ski take (literally) thousands of passing skiers and snowboarders and reschedule their evenings. For those who survive the on-mountain carnage, there are bars throughout the resort that open till late.
Sölden
Sölden is a bit of a hybrid of Ischgl and St Anton. A lot of the après ski action happens on the snow but a centre for the party is at Innerwald, a plateau just above the main street and linked by the Dorf Shuttle and ski piste to the resort centre. There are also bars around the base-stations, especially the Giggijoch gondola. Sölden is one of the big beasts of world après ski.
